Christine Latham scored a monumental first goal of the season to give the Nebraska soccer team the 1-0 win over Wisconsin Sunday night at the Abbott Sports Complex.

The Calgary, Alberta native set the Nebraska school records for career goals at 54, surpassing former Husker, Kim Engesser, as well as the career record for game-winning goals at 16.

"Christine has had a great career here," coach John Walker said. "It was a fitting goal for her based on the way she plays the game, and we hope there are many more."

Latham scored the game-winning goal at the 29:21 mark going one-on-one with Wisconsin
