Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Nebraska softball coach Rhonda Revelle was named the Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year, and six Huskers were selected to the all-conference first or second teams Wednesday at the Big 12 Tournament banquet.

Under Revelle, Nebraska won its second Big 12 regular-season title and enters the Big 12 Tournament as the top seed. The 11th-ranked Huskers are 47-11 and have won 37 of their last 39 games in a run that included back-to-back wins over No. 6 Oklahoma, the defending national champion. Nebraska, which opens tournament play against either Missouri or Texas tonight at 7:30 p.m., has posted 40 or more wins eight times under Revelle. This is the second conference coach-of-the-year honor for Revelle, who also won the award in 1998.
