Notes: No. 10 Nebraska kept Baylor's potent offense in check and got goals from isabelle Morneau and Tanya Franck to defeat the Bears, 2-0, at the Abbott Sports Complex. Morneau, a sophomore striker from Longueuil, Quebec, put the Huskers on the board early with a goal on an assist from Jenny Benson just 47 seconds into the match. The goal was the quickest goal in Husker history. Nebraska continued to control the action throught the game but was unable to crack the Bear defense again until Franck's goal at 78:15. The Huskers outshot the Bears, 19-10, and attempted nine shots on goal to just three for Baylor. Bear goalkeeper Dawn Greathouse recorded seven saves, while Rebecca Hornbacher posted four for the Huskers. Nebraska coach John Walker was pleased with the win over the Bears, who entered the contest with a 7-1 record. "It was a solid conference win for us against a quality team."
