Nebraska coach John Walker said he was impressed with the way the Huskers battled the Commodores. "We came out and competed extremely hard throughout the game," Walker said. "I feel much better about the team and the way it is shaping up after this weekend's wins. We just competed very well against Colorado on Friday and against Vanderbilt today. It is very encouraging." Junior midfielder/striker Kim Engesser continued her excellent play for the Huskers, adding an insurance goal off an assist from Sharolta Nonen at 82:45. The goal was Engesser's fourth of the season to lead the Huskers.
