Dallas, Texas -- Nebraska senior Heather Brink has been honored as Big 12 Conference Gymnast of the Week for the third time this season.
Brink won the all-around title at the Masters Classic with a score of 39.575, tying the second-highest score in school history. She broke the previous Masters Classic record of 39.425 set by Shelly Bartlett in 1997.
The Lincoln, Neb., native, who has won five all-around titles this season, also captured first place honors on vault (9.90) and floor exercise (9.925). She set or tied meet records on both events while also placing second on uneven bars (9.925) and balance beam (9.85).
The Huskers return to action this Friday, as Nebraska travels to Corvallis, Ore., to compete in the Shanico Inn-vitational hosted by Oregon State.
