DALLAS -- Nebraska's Bryan Snyder has garnered Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors announced by the conference office Tuesday.
The Easton, Pa. native, has an overall 21-0 record this season, recording eight wins by technical fall, seven by the way of pins and five major decisions.
On Jan. 11, Snyder, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation at the 157-pound weight class, defeated Minnesota's third-ranked Luke Becker, 5-4. The victory was the first of the year for Snyder that did not go for bonus points. The victory extended his record to 5-0 over ranked opponents this season.
The senior's win last Friday also tied him for third on NU's all-time wins category with 124. He is currently tied with Nebraska's 2000 National Champion, Brad Vering.
With a career mark of 124-10, Snyder's career win loss percentage of .925 is the best in Husker history.
Nebraska travels to Morgantown, W.Va. for a pair of matches against West Virginia and Bloomsburg Jan. 20.
