NETV to Televise Six Husker Matches

Lincoln -- Nebraska Education Television has announced that it will televise six Husker volleyball home matches live on NETV, a state-wide non-commercial network. The matches selected include Sept. 14 vs. Georgia Tech, Sept. 17 vs. Texas A&M, Oct. 1 vs. Colorado, Oct. 15 vs. Missouri, Nov. 1 vs. Oklahoma and Nov. 12 vs. Texas.

NETV will also air the Nebraska Volleyball Show featuring Coach John Cook and host Michelle Glover Sundays at 10 p.m. on NETV2. The first show is Aug. 31. NETV2 reaches 72 percent of cable subscribers in Nebraska and can be seen on cable channel 17 in Lincoln and channel 16 in Omaha.

NETV is licensed to the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska and the Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission. Fans who don't have access to NETV can view the televised matches live on the web. HuskersNside, the subscription-based service offered by Huskers.com, will feature live video streaming of each match. HuskersNside will also provide Cook's show on demand every Monday.

Nebraska begins 2003 competition Aug. 29-30 at the Illinois State Barker GMC Classic in Normal, Ill. The Huskers will face Clemson at 5 p.m. Aug. 29 in the season opener.
