Lincoln ? Sophomore transfer Aaron Nasers tied the Nebraska school record and ran the third-fastest time in the country this season with his mark of 1:48.37 in the 800-meter run Friday night in the Prairie Wolf Invitational at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Track.
Nasers transferred to NU from Western Michigan this season and took no time to record the fastest time in school history. His time ranks right above teammate Dmitrijs Milkevics’ 1:48.75 clocking, the fourth-fastest time in the country, set at last week’s Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational.
"It felt great," Nasers said. "I started to feel tired at the start of the third lap, but the coaches told me that I have to work the third lap and the fourth would take care of itself and it did. I didn’t know what the school record was, but I had set a goal of 1:48.50. I knew that I could do it."
