Athens - The Canadian Olympic Softball team finished with a 3-4 record, their best showing ever in the Olympics, with a 1-0 victory over Italy in their final game.
Nebraska's own Sheena Lawrick did not play against Italy. The Calgary, Alberta, native started two games in the tournament, but did not record a hit.
Lawrick will return to Nebraska for her senior season after leading the team in several offensive categories before suffering a season-ending knee injury last season.
Joining Lawrick on the trip back to Lincoln is Associate Head Coach Lori Sippel, who served as a color commentator for CBN, the Canadian Broadcasting Network.
