Lincoln ? University of Nebraska Volleyball Coach John Cook announced Tuesday morning that Nebraska’s match against Iowa State on Saturday, Oct. 16, will take place at 7 p.m. at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
The match was moved from the NU Coliseum to the Devaney Center to give more fans an opportunity to see Husker volleyball in person and will conclude a full day of athletic events around the Nebraska campus. The Husker football team will host Baylor at 1:05 p.m. that afternoon at Memorial Stadium and other events will be announced later this week.
With a 46-match sellout streak entering Wednesday’s match against Baylor and the remaining matches at the NU Coliseum nearly sold out, the Iowa State match at the 13,595-seat Devaney Center allows fans who can’t get tickets to Husker volleyball matches an opportunity to see Nebraska volleyball in person. The NU-ISU match-up will not be televised.
Good seats still remain for the Huskers’ lone Devaney Center appearance and are available by calling (800) 8-BIGRED or by logging on to Huskers.com. General admission seating in the C Section is $6 for adults, $4 for children ages seven and above and for fans 60 and over. University of Nebraska students with a valid ID will be admitted free, as will children ages six and under.
Nebraska (10-1, 5-0 Big 12) enters the week ranked fifth nationally in this week’s USA Today/CSTV Coaches poll and is riding a seven-match winning streak entering Wednesday’s match with Baylor.
