The Huskers completed three rounds of action with an 889 total and their finish was their lowest of the fall schedule. Nebraska had moved up the leaderboard with a second-round 289, but fell back to 12th after the final round. The Huskers were one of a handful of teams to complete second-round play just before darkness on Monday after the field sat through a fog delay at the start of Monday’s play.

Host Charlotte captured the team championship with a final total of 854, good for a one-shot victory over UNC Greensboro. Virginia Commonwealth (859), Rhode Island (859) tied for third, while Ohio (864) and Rhode Island (864) finished in a tie for fifth place.

Individually, Nebraska was led by junior Judd Cornell who finished three rounds at one-under par 215. Cornell was among the leaders after finishing two rounds at 139 (70-69), but fell back to a tie for 16th place after a 76 in Tuesday’s final round. Sophomore Tom Bethel posted Nebraska’s best final round with an even-par 72 and finished three rounds at 217, good for a tie for 21st place. Mark Pillen posted a 76 on Tuesday to finish at 229 (tie 59th), while Ryan Lenahan’s final round of 80 gave him a three-round 235 total and a 73rd-place finish.

Charlotte’s Matt Mincer fired a final-round 66 on Tuesday and finished three rounds of play at 14-under-par 202, good for a seven-shot victory over Marquette’s Ted Gray.
