Dates Announced for 2006 Big Red Soccer Camps

Dates and times for the 2006 Big Red Soccer Camps have been announced and applications for the camps are now being accepted. All camps will be held on the Nebraska main campus, utilizing the new Nebraska Soccer Field, the newly opened air conditioned Championship Indoor Center and meetings will be held in the brand new Nebraska Soccer meeting rooms.

The Girls Elite Residential Camp, open to girls ages 10-18, will be held July 23-27. Cost for the camp is $415 for residential campers and $365 for commuters. Campers will stay in UNL dorms and each camper will receive an adidas ball and t-shirt. A $150 non-refundable deposit is required for the camp, and campers must register by July 14. There is also a limited enrollment of 130 campers. The Girls Elite Residential Camp has produced several future Huskers, as more than half of the 2006 roster participated in an Elite Residential Camp.

A Boys & Girls Nebraska Day Camp will also be offered, with the dates running from June 20-23. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-15 for a cost of $185.

A Boys & Girls Goalkeeper Camp rounds out the 2006 Big Red Soccer Camps lineup. The camp will be held from June 12-15 at a cost of $90, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-18.

Camp instructors will include the entire Nebraska coaching staff, including Head Coach John Walker, who ranks fifth nationally with a .772 career winning percentage. Assistants Marty Everding and Ann Cook will also instruct campers, as well as current Nebraska soccer players.
