"We were very excited about this event but it turned out even better than we expected," Morales said. "I think the best part was the interaction between our swimmers and kids. Everybody was enthusiastic the whole time."

In its first year of existence, the clinic consisted of six sessions that included instruction and demonstration on each swimming stroke, turns and diving. At the conclusion of the two-hour event, the Huskers signed autographs for the participants.

"I think the kids got a lot out of their experience," Morales said. "The clinic reached its capacity in less than days so that shows there is a lot of interest for swimming and our program throughout the state of Nebraska. We look forward to continuing this event in the future."
