Lincoln ? University of Nebraska Volleyball Coach John Cook announced Monday that Jordan Haverly has decided to transfer from the Husker program for personal reasons.
Haverly informed Cook of her intention to leave the Nebraska volleyball program over the weekend, and after consulting with Haverly’s family, he has granted her release to transfer to another school.
“We understand that Jordan’s decision to leave Nebraska volleyball was not an easy one. She was someone we enjoyed having in our program. Although we are disappointed that she has decided to leave our program, we appreciate the maturity she showed in her decision-making process.” Cook said. “We told both Jordan and her family that we will help her in any way we can in finding a school for her and wish her nothing but success as she continues her academic and volleyball career.”
Haverly wanted to thank her teammates and coaches for their support.
“I wanted to express my appreciation to my teammates and coaches at Nebraska for their support and encouragement throughout this difficult process,” Haverly said. “Although I have only been at Nebraska a short time, I will miss being part of such a special place and the opportunity to be a Husker, and my personal decision to leave Nebraska was done for the best interests of my family.”
