After finishing second at the Mid-Winter Classic last weekend, the No. 2 Nebraska bowling team faces another road test this weekend at the Greater Ozark Invitational in Springfield, Mo. The tournament, held at Enterprise Park Lanes, is scheduled to begin at 11:30 on Saturday, Jan. 24, before starting up again at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5.
The Huskers face some of the top teams in the nation, including No. 1 Vanderbilt, No. 6 Arkansas State, No. 9 Central Missouri, No. 12 Minnesota State-Mankato, No. 14 Elmhurst College, Grand Canyon University and Fontbonne University.
Seven Huskers will make the trip to Springfield, including junior Cassie Leuthold, sophomores Jasmine Laugerman and Kayla Stram, and freshmen Valerie Calberry, Erin McCarthy, Kristi Mickelson and Danielle van der Meer.
The Huskers will take a three-week break from competition after the Greater Ozark Invite before picking up again at the Morgan State Invitational on Feb. 14-15.
