She has coached the Big Red to six conference titles, 13 NCAA Tournament berths, two Women's College World Series and 12 NFCA top-25 final rankings while compiling a record of 615-323. Huskers have earned 14 All-America awards and nine CoSIDA Academic All-America certificates in Revelle’s 16 seasons. Her success extends beyond far beyond Nebraska, as more Huskers were selected as National ProFastpitch All-Stars than any other collegiate program except UCLA. Revelle has also coached more Olympians than any other Big 12 coach, including two Huskers in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Lori Sippel, Nebraska Associate Head Coach
Lori Sippel simply knows what it takes to excel athletically and academically in the circle. She led Nebraska to three World Series appearances as a player, earning a pair of All-America honors and garnering the prestigious Academic All-American of the Year award as a senior. Sippel went on to pitch in the 1996 Olympic Games and is currently one of only 133 worldwide players in the International Softball Federation Hall of Fame. Known for her ability to develop pitchers, Sippel’s staff ranked ninth nationally in ERA in 2007 while Molly Hill won the Big 12 ERA championship. Overall, Sippel has produced three different All-America pitchers the past decade. She has also Nebraska produce more All-Big 12 pitchers than any other school in the conference.
Diane Miller, Nebraska Assistant Coach
Entering her first season as Nebraska, Diane Miller boasts the most impressive statistical success of any Husker coach. While spending eight seasons orchestrating an unprecedented offensive explosion at Colorado State, Miller’s teams set 44 Mountain West Conference offensive records. Her powerful offenses ranked in the top 20 nationally in home runs, doubles and slugging percentage in each of the past three seasons, an accomplishment no other school in the country can match. Her final five teams averaged more than 55 home runs per season while hitting a collective .307. Under Miller’s instruction in 2008, CSU slugged 86 doubles and 68 homers to average nearly six runs per game.
Amanda Buchholz, Nebraska Volunteer Coach
Amanda Buchholz is in her seventh season of coaching following a successful playing career. A two-sport athlete her freshman season at Nebraska, Buchholz earned All-Big 12 honors as the Huskers' starting shortstop and was instrumental in helping NU get to the 2002 Women's College World Series, as she was named Most Valuable Player of the Iowa City Regional. Buchholz has been an active member of the Husker coaching staff since 2004 and she also served as head coach of the inaugural Lincoln North Star softball team in the fall of 2003. Working with a young infield in 2008 that feature new starters at second, third and short - including a pair of freshman - Buchholz turned the infield into a strength of the team by season's end.
