Lincoln ? A total of 11 current or former Husker volleyball players were honored Friday with their selections to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Fall Honor Roll.
The list includes a trio of athletes who posted 4.0 GPA in the fall semester. Academic All-American Amanda Gates finished the fall with a 4.0 GPA in communication studies, marking the sixth time in seven semesters she has accomplished the feat. Freshman Allison McNeal and former Husker All-American Tracy Stalls also recorded 4.0 GPAs in the fall, as they were among 38 student-athletes who posted 4.0 grade-point averages.
Nebraska’s other two Academic All-Americans found their way on the fall honor roll, as Jordan Larson and Kori Cooper both received recognition. Larson, who graduated in December and is currently playing in Puerto Rico, and Cooper both were honored for the fifth time in their respective careers. Other Huskers who finished with above a 3.0 GPA in the fall included Brooke Delano, Kaitlyn James, Brigette Root, Rachel Schwartz, Jordan Wilberger and Jessica Yanz.
A total of 324 Nebraska student-athletes among all sports earned at least a 3.0 GPA during the fall semester.
