Huskers Host NU Alumni Meet

The Nebraska swimming and diving team is making its 2010-11 season debut Saturday at the NU Alumni Meet. The meet marks the first event of the year and will be a stress-free competition for the swimmers. This year's event has 14 confirmed alumni participating with more expected to commit on Saturday.

Head Coach Pablo Morales and Assistant Coach Doug Humphrey organized the first Alumni Meet in 2002, and the meet has been a continued success of past and present Huskers. The 2010-11 Husker swimming and diving team returns 21 letterwinners and eight seniors. Morales is entering his 10th season at Nebraska.

Following the Alumni Meet, the Huskers will return to the pool on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. at the Devaney Natatorium for the Scarlet Vs. Cream Intrasquad. The season opener is Oct. 9 at future Big 10 opponent Illinois.
