As the team is in finals week, it is a good chance to catch up on some items during the first third of the season.

Getting Defensive
Nebraska has been strong on the defense end, holding opponents to just 54.8 points per game during its current six-game win streak. It is the second time in the shot clock era that the Huskers have held six straight foes to 60 points or less. If NU can hold Eastern Washington to 60 points or less on Saturday, it would mark the first time since 1981-82 that it happened at Nebraska.

NU has also done a good job on shutting down opposing scorers, as Hofstra's Charles Jenkins was held to a season-low 15 points against the Huskers. Jenkins is currently fifth nationally in scoring (25.3 ppg) has scored at least 19 points in his other eight games, including games of 40 and 32 points in back-to-back games. USC's Nikola Vucevic was held to a season-low five points in the Trojans loss to NU, one of only two game he has not been in double figures this year.

Valentino's Family 4-Pack Available for Saturday's Game
Saturday's game against Eastern Washingson is the first of third of four Valentino's Family Value Packs. For $40, fans can get four tickets, four slices of Valentino's pizza and four Pepsi products at the consession stand. To take advantage of the offer, contact the NU Ticket Office at 800-8-BIGRED by Friday afrernoon, as this offer is not available online or on game days. The special will also be available for the upcoming games against North Dakota (Jan. 2).

In addition, fans can sit in the Red Zone seating area during the holiday break games for $15. Contact the NU Ticket Office at 800-8-BIGRED for details. UNL students can also purchase tickets to the holiday break games for $2, since they were not in the original student season-ticket packages.

Construction Update
Here is a timelapse of the progress on the Hendricks Training Complex. This began when the construction cam was installed in early October and runs until Dec. 2.

HuskersNside Update and the Return to the Ticket Contest
Second, the popular Husker Basketball Trivia contest is back for another season. The NU Hoops Blog Twitter site (twitter.com/NUhoopsblog) will have a pair of tickets for each remaining regular-season game, while another pair of tickets will be given away on either the Athletic Department's Twitter (Twitter.com/Huskers) or Facebook (Facebook.com/Huskers) pages. Typically, trivia will take place on gamedays during the week and Friday's for weekend events.
