   The No. 16 Nebraska wrestling team kicks off its' last run through the Big 12 Conference this weekend when they hit the road to take on two top 15 teams. The Huskers begin the weekend on Friday, Jan. 28, when they take on the No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners at 7 p.m. in Norman, Okla., before traveling to Columbia, Mo., to dual the No. 7 Missouri Tigers at 1 p.m. Live stats for both matches will be available at nwcaonline.com and soonersports.com.
   Nebraska enters the match with a 10-3 record after splitting two duals last weekend against No. 4 Wisconsin and Northern Iowa. The Huskers dropped their match against the Badgers on Friday, but responded with a come-from-behind victory over the Panthers of Northern Iowa on Sunday. Andy Johnson propelled the Huskers to victory after his major decision victory at the 197-pound match to give NU the 18-15 victory. This weekend's matches will mark the end of the Huskers' seven-dual road trip, which stretched back to the Lone Star Duals on Jan. 15. In those matches, NU has accumulated a 4-1 record and owns a 7-2 record when competing on the road.
   After this weekend's duals, NU will return to the NU Coliseum for a pair of matches against Arizona State and Oklahoma State. Nebraska will take on the Sun Devils on Friday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m., before taking on Oklahoma State on Sunday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out: Johnson Leads Huskers Past Panthers
   Trailing by one point entering the final match against the Northern Iowa Panthers, Andy Johnson (NU) was able to rally the Nebraska wrestling team back to an 18-15 victory on Sunday, Jan. 23, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The No. 16 Huskers saw their record improve to 10-3 on the season, while Northern Iowa dropped to 7-8. The Huskers have now won at least ten duals nine times since the 2000-01 season.
   The dual opened with a pair of ranked wrestlers at the 285-pound weight class in No. 10 Tucker Lane (NU) and No. 16 Christian Brantley (UNI).  After no scoring in the first two periods, Lane was able to score an escape and was awarded the riding time point to take the match, 2-0.
   At 125-pounds, David Klingsheim (NU) was unable to hold of Caleb Flores (UNI) giving up a takedown with :36 remaining in the third period to give Flores the 2-1 victory. Ridge Kiley (NU) was able to get the Huskers back on track at 133-pounds, defeating Ryan Jauch (UNI), 3-2. After scoring a reversal to take a 2-1 lead, Jauch tied the score at 2-2 after being awarded a stalling point, but Kiley was able to collect over a minute of riding time and took the match, 3-2.
   After Kiley's victory, the Huskers dropped three straight decisions and fell behind by six points in the team score at 12-6, before senior Jordan Burroughs recorded his ninth technical fall victory of the season to pull the Huskers within one. Burroughs was dominant in his victory John Simon (UNI), recording five takedowns in the first period in route to his 21-5 win. Burroughs now owns a 23-0 record on the year.
   Following Burroughs' win, sophomore Caleb Kolb (NU) regained the lead for NU after defeating Brice Wolf (UNI) by decision, 5-3, at 174-pounds. Kolb used two second period takedowns to give the Huskers a 14-12 lead in the team score.
   The lead didn't last long for NU as No. 14 Ryan Loder (UNI) upset No. 12 Josh Ihnen (NU) at 184-pounds, 5-0, to setup the deciding match at 197-pounds. In that match, Johnson (NU) used three takedowns and two near falls to defeat Jarion Beets (UNI) by major decision, 12-0, and give NU the 18-15 victory. Johnson improved his record to 20-8 on the season and 2-0 on the weekend after defeating Derrick Borlie against Wisconsin.

A Closer Look at the Oklahoma Sooners
   The No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners enter Friday's dual with an impressive 10-1 overall record. The Sooners have a deep and talented lineup that features seven nationally-ranked wrestlers, including three which are ranked inside the top ten.
   OU began the season by winning its' first five duals of the season with wins over Central Oklahoma, Buffalo, Arizona State, Oklahoma City and North Carolina State. In all five of those matches, OU did not allow their opponent to win more than two matches. Their first loss of the season came in their Big 12 opener against No. 2 Oklahoma State, 22-12. In that match, OU collected victories from No. 2 Tyler Caldwell, Matt Lester, No. 6 Zack Bailey and No. 7 Jarrod Patterson, but were unable to upend the powerful Cowboys.
   Since that loss, OU has reeled of five-straight victories including a 33-7 win over No. 15 Iowa State to give them their first conference victory of the season. Against the Cyclones, OU produced six-straight victories to close the match in route to their victory.
   The Sooners are led by sophomore Tyler Caldwell, who is ranked at No. 2 at 165-pounds by InterMat. Caldwell has a team leading 25 victories on the season and is a perfect 10-0 in dual competition. The Wichita, Kan., native will match up against No. 1 Jordan Burroughs (NU), marking the second time this season the top two wrestlers at that weight division have faced off. Also leading the way for OU are No. 7 Jarrod Patterson (125) and No. 6 Zack Bailey (141), who have a combined 20-1 dual record.
   OU is coached by Jack Spates, who is in his 18th and final season as the head coach for Oklahoma. Spates announced his retirement from coaching before the start of this season.

Husker History vs. Oklahoma
   The Huskers and Sooners have a rich history together having faced off over 50 times in their histories. OU holds an edge in the all-time record at 18-35-1, but NU has won three out of the last four duals against the Sooners. OU broke Nebraska's three-dual winning streak over them last season by taking down the Huskers, 22-15, in Lincoln, Neb. Nebraska and Oklahoma's 54 duals against each other rank third on the all-time chart at Nebraska behind only Missouri (58) and Minnesota (66).

A Closer Look at the Missouri Tigers
   Currently riding a five-dual winning streak, the No. 7 Missouri Tigers will enter Sunday's match against Nebraska as one of the hottest teams in college wrestling. After dropping a close match to then-No. 1 Cornell at the NWCA National Duals on Jan. 8, Missouri has beaten two teams currently ranked inside the top ten of the NWCA Coaches Poll in No. 5 Oklahoma State and No. 10 Boise State.
   Against Oklahoma State, Dom Bradley's decision victory over Tyson Yoder (OSU) gave the Tigers their 21-19 victory and secured a fifth place finish at the NWCA National Duals, which was their highest finish since 2007. Earlier at the National Duals, Mizzou was able to win the last four matches against Boise State and take the dual by a 21-12 count.
   The Tigers are led by Alan Waters at 125-pounds who is in the middle of a stellar freshman campaign. The No. 6-rated wrestler has won 34 matches overall this season and has collected an 18-1 record in dual play. Missouri has another top ten wrestler in heavyweight Dom Bradley. Bradley, who checks in at No. 4 nationally, has accumulated 15 dual wins this season. Other ranked wrestlers for MU include No. 12 Todd Schavrien (141), No. 11 Zach Toal (165), No. 15 Mike Larson (184), No. 20 Dorian Henderson (174) and N0. 10 Brent Haynes (197).
   Missouri is coached by Brian Smith, who is in his 13th season as head coach.

Husker History vs. Missouri
   Nebraska and Missouri have faced off 58 total times in their histories with Nebraska holding a 38-17-3 edge in the all-time record. Last season, NU fell to the Tigers, 22-16, in Lincoln, Neb., on Jan. 29, 2010.

NU vs. Oklahoma State Dual Time Changed
   Head coach Mark Manning and the Nebraska wrestling team has pushed up the start time of their dual against the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Sunday, Feb. 6. The match, originally planned to start at 2 p.m., will now begin at 1 p.m. at the NU Coliseum.
   Nebraska's dual against the Cowboys will be Alumni Day at the NU Coliseum, with several former Huskers being honored before the match as NU celebrates its 100th anniversary season. Also, fans who attend the men's basketball game Feb. 5 against Kansas will receive free admission to the dual by showing their ticket stub at the door.
   The Huskers, who sport a 10-3 record on the season, travel to Norman, Okla., this Friday to take on the No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners at 7 p.m., before facing the Missouri Tigers on Sunday, Jan. 30, in Columbia, Mo., at 1 p.m.

Burroughs Looks to Cement Name in Record Books
   After becoming the 19th wrestler in program history to reach the 100-win mark earlier this season, Burroughs has his sights set on many of the school's all-time wrestling records as he goes after his second NCAA title.
   - Moved past Jeff Coltvet (1984-89) for No. 6 in the all-time victories chart with 115.
   - Currently sits at No. 6 on the all-time winning percentage chart with a .852 clip and a 115-20-0 career record.
   - Needs two dual victories to move into the top ten in career dual wins.
   -Currently at No. 8 in career dual winning percentage at .875.
   - Has accumulated 15 falls this season to move his career total to 36. Burroughs would need 9 more victories by technical fall or pin to move into the top 5 career falls list at NU.

Huskers Look to Finish Seven-Match Road Swing on High Note
   The Huskers will look to end their longest road dual streak on the schedule on a high note this weekend as they are set to compete in their sixth and seventh consecutive road duals. The Huskers last had a home dual on Dec. 11, when they defeated Oregon State, 17-16, and return back to the Coliseum until Feb. 4, when they will take on Arizona State at 7 p.m.
   So far this season, the Huskers own a 7-2 dual record while on the road with away matches against No. 7 Missouri, No. 11 Oklahoma, Duke and North Carolina remaining on the schedule.

Johnson Making Most of Return to Huskers
   Senior Andy Johnson is making the most of his return to the Husker lineup after sitting out from competition in 2009-10. In his first three seasons as a Husker, Johnson accumulated just four dual wins and 22 victories overall.  This season, Johnson has started every dual at the 197-pound weight class and has earned a 9-4 record during the dual season, while claiming 20 victories overall. Last weekend, Johnson was most impressive going 2-0 with victories over Derrick Borle (Wis.) and Jarion Beets (UNI).

Huskers Release 2011 Summer Camp Dates
   The Nebraska wrestling program has announced camp dates for the summer of 2011 on the days listed below. Camp information, including dates, costs and an application form, will be available before the end of January.
   The Husker staff will host three team camps and three specialized individual camps during the summer of 2011. Wrestlers in attendance will have a chance to learn from and compete with the Husker wrestling staff and team members. Head Coach Mark Manning will provide instruction at each camp as well as numerous guest instructors. Burroughs Brings in Big 12 Awards
   Senior Jordan Burroughs is one of two wrestlers in the Big 12 to receive Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors twice this season. Burroughs was honored on Dec. 13, 2010, and Jan. 3, 2011. Over his career, Burroughs has been named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week four times in his career.

Huskers Announce Talented Signing Class
   Head Coach Mark Manning and the Husker wrestling program have announced the signings of four high school seniors who plan to enroll and compete at Nebraska beginning with the 2011-12 season.
   Three of the four signees are ranked in the InterMat Top 25, while the other is a two-time Nebraska Class C state champion. Three of the wrestlers have been crowned state champions at their respective high schools.

Austin Wilson, Hastings, Neb. (Hastings St. Cecilia) - 157/165
   Austin Wilson will enter his senior season at Hastings St. Cecilia looking to break the all-time career victories record in Nebraska state high school history. Wilson owns a 133-3 career record and would need 39 victories to break the record of 172. As a sophomore, Wilson finished the season with a perfect 47-0 record while only giving up one takedown and one reversal all season en route to the Class C state title at 130 pounds. In his junior season, the Hastings native was just as impressive, going 48-0 and only being scored on one time. Wilson's 48 victories as a junior broke an All-Class record for wins a season. Wilson is nationally-ranked as the No. 15 wrestler in his weight division according to WIN magazine. Wilson is set to wrestle at either the 157 or 165 pounds.

Jake Sueflohn, Hartland, Wis., (Arrowhead) - 141/149
   Jake Sueflohn has established himself as one of the best high school wrestlers in the country after winning the 2010 Wisconsin Division I state championship at 135 pounds. Sueflohn, a Harland, Wis. Native, is ranked as the No. 4 wrestler in the nation at the 140-pound weight division and is the No. 23 ranked recruit overall according to InterMat. As a freshman, Sueflohn finished third at the state championships at 119, while recording a 50-4 record. His sophomore season saw him finish in the runner-up spot at the 125-pound weight division going 38-5. Sueflohn owns a 146-12 career record. Sueflhon is slated to wrestle at either 141 or 149 pounds.

Donny Longendyke, White Bear Lake, Minn. (White Bear Lake) - HWT
   Donny Longendyke will enter his senior season as one of the most dominate heavyweights in the country after going 47-0 as a junior, while recording 39 pins en route to the Minnesota Class AAA state championship. In his sophomore season, Longendyke recorded a 39-2 mark and a second place finish at the state championships. Longendyke was the No. 2 rated heavyweight recruit in the country according to InterMat, and the No. 25 overall prospect in the country. This summer, Longendyke was most impressive at the USA Wrestling National Championships in Fargo, N.D., where he placed in all five events he entered and earned a spot in the finals twice. Longendyke will wrestle at the Heavyweight spot for the Huskers.

James Green, Willingboro, N.J. (Willingboro) - 157
   James Green will join the Husker wrestling program after accumulating over 100 victories in his first three seasons at Willingboro (N.J.) High School. As a junior, Green finished his junior season with a 35-2 record and a second place finish at the state championships. Green is considered one of the top recruits in the country and is ranked as the No. 22 overall prospect by InterMat. The Willingboro, N.J. native is the 2nd-ranked wrestler at the 145-pound weight division by WIN magazine and checks in as the 4th-ranked wrestler in Intermat's individual rankings. Green is projected to be a 157-pound wrestler at Nebraska.

Four-Time All-American Snyder Returns as Assistant Coach
   The Nebraska wrestling team announced this offseason the return and addition of one of the most decorated student-athletes in program history, as Bryan Snyder was named an assistant coach for the Huskers Over the summer,
   The only four-time All-American and four-time conference champion in school history, Snyder comes back to the Husker wrestling program in its 100th anniversary season. The Easton, Pa., native spent last year as the head assistant coach at Arizona State and helped guide five Sun Devils to the 2010 NCAA Championships in Omaha. Snyder began his coaching experience as an assistant at Harvard in 2002-03, while returning to the Husker wrestling program as a graduate assistant coach for two seasons (2003-04 and 2004-05), as NU went 38-5-1 in duals and finished fifth at the 2004 NCAA Championships.
   As a wrestler, Snyder ranks No. 1 on Nebraska's all-time winning percentage chart (.925), compiling a 136-11 record from 1999-2002. He claimed All-America accolades and a Big 12 championship all four years, while finishing as the NCAA runner-up at 157 pounds in 2001 and 2002. He amassed over 30 wins per season three times, including his 43-3 record as a sophomore that stands as the second-best single-season mark in school history. A four-time NWCA All-Academic selection, Snyder was named the 2002 Nebraska Male Student-Athlete of the Year and graduated with a double major in Sociology and Communication Studies.

Brester, Brown Join NU Coaching Staff
   Two recent NU All-Americans will add further experience and knowledge to the Husker wrestling coaching staff as Nebraska announced the additions of volunteer assistant Brandon Browne and administrative assistant Craig Brester. Along with coach Bryan Snyder, the three new hires combined to win 87 percent of their matches and earn eight All-America honors during their Husker careers.
   Browne will be in his second year with the Huskers after serving as the team's club coach last year. A native of Plattsmouth, Neb., Browne won back-to-back Big 12 championships at 174 pounds in 2008 and 2009.
   Brester will be the most recent face on the NU staff and serve the role of administrative assistant. The Howells, Neb., native finished his career this past March with his second-straight NCAA runner-up finish at 197 pounds. Through four years, Brester produced a 109-21 record and ranks with the eight-best winning percentage (.838) in school history.

Hendricks Look Forward to Hendricks Training Complex
   The Nebraska wrestling program will be experiencing some major facility improvements in the near future, starting with the addition of the Hendricks Training Complex.
   The Hendricks Training Complex, which will provide three full-sized practice mats, new office suites and new areas for both strength and conditioning and athletic medicine at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, is currently under construction. The new practice facility will be open for student-athletes at Nebraska beginning in the 2011-12 season - the same year the Huskers are scheduled to begin competition in the Big Ten Conference.
   In addition to the new practice and training facility, the Husker men's and women's basketball teams will move into a new home in 2013-14 with the addition of a new downtown arena. At the same time, the Devaney Center will undergo major renovations to benefit the sports who will remain housed in the facility.
