Hunter Earns Andi Collins Award

Future Husker Kelly Hunter was honored with the prestigious Andi Collins Award by PrepVolleyball.com on Monday. The honor is traditionally given to the nation's best high school senior setter.

Hunter recorded more than 800 assists in 2012 as Papillion-La Vista South went 41-1, including a win over pre-season national No. 1 Torrey Pines at the Nfinity Battle on the Plains that propelled the Titans to the top spot in the national rankings. She is a member of the USA Youth National Team and is No. 13 in PrepVolleyball.com's Senior Aces, a club national champion, a high school national champion and a Nebraska Player of the Year.

The Andi Collins Award has been given out to the top setter in the nation since 2003. Mackenzie Dagostino of Maryland earned the award in 2011. The last Husker to receive the honor was Lauren Cook in 2008.
