Incoming freshman Kadecia Baird took to the track at the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow, Russia on Saturday. Competing for Guyana, Baird finished with a time of 53.73 in the 400 meters. Her time would not qualify her for the semifinals. Baird is set to join the Huskers from Medgar Evers College Prep in Brooklyn, N.Y., and is coached by former Husker and three-time NCAA Champion Nicola Martial.
Other former Huskers competing at the World Championships this week will be Dusty Jonas (high jump) and Gyorgyi Farkas-Zsivoczky (heptathlon).
