Wilberding Joins Huskers as Early Enrollee

Lincoln - The Nebraska soccer team welcomed freshman Paige Wilberding into the program in early January as an early enrollee. Coach John Walker's 2014 squad will consist of 13 newcomers after the Huskers signed a dozen commits on Tuesday.

Wilberding hails from Rosemount, Minn. and joins NU after two prep seasons at Eastview High School. The 5-foot-5 forward garnered all-state tournament team honors along with a pair of conference titles during her prep career.

During the club season, Wilberding played for the Dakota Rev under Tobbe Morsell along with current NU soccer student-athlete Natalie Muench. Wilberding was part of the team that won five consecutive Schwan's USA Cup Championships before finishing runner-up in 2012. The Rev also claimed the 2013 Gothia Cup Youth's World Cup title.
