10th Annual ?The Spangler? Set for Sept. 26

The 10th annual “The Spangler” returns to ArborLinks Golf Course in Nebraska City, Neb., in 2014, and will be held on Friday, Sept. 26.

The event, which is a 4-person shamble, is a shotgun start at noon that will cost $200 per player ($800 per team). The cost covers golf, cart, range, food and drink. "The Spangler" is a special event benefiting the Dick Spangler Scholarship Fund. The Dick Spangler Scholarship, honoring Nebraska coach Bill Spangler's late father, Dick, is awarded annually to a Nebraska golfer who made significant contributions to the men's golf program through his attitude, effort and team spirit.
