The Huskers made their way up north to Canada to play in a series of international matchups June 5-19. Follow below for continued updates and game recaps:
June 18-- The Nebraska soccer team concluded its Canadian game tour on June 18 against the University of Ottawa, coming out on top with a 4-1 victory. After a half-hour lightening delay, junior Sydney Miramontez got things started and opened up the scoring with a blast from 30 yards out. Classmate Jaycie Johnson followed up with a clean shot off of an assist from Miramontez, as the Huskers led the Gee-Gees 2-1 going into halftime.
NU continued to play aggressively in the second half, as Johnson's pass to sophomore Haley Hanson resulted in a foul on the defensive end. Hanson then converted the penalty kick to score the third goal of the game. Johnson delivered the finishing touches to the win after delivering a hard shot inside the box late in the second half, leading the the Huskers' 4-1 win.

June 16-- Nebraska completed its sixth game of the Canadian summer tour, as NU overcame the W-League Laval Comets 1-0 on June 16. The two teams remained tied 0-0 at halftime after a hard-fought battle in the first half. The Huskers then put a score on the board in the second half, as Miramontez took a corner kick to the keeper's left. Redshirt freshman Lia Baldo received the ball from Miramontez and outfought her marker at the back post, lodging the ball just under the bar to seal the 1-0 win.
Nebraska will spend Wednesday watching a couple matches in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, including former Husker Ari Romero and the rest of the Mexican national team. The team will close out its Canadian tour on Thursday, June 17 at 7 p.m. against the University of Ottawa.

June 14-- The Huskers continued their high-scoring Canadian win streak on June 14, taking down the University of Montreal 5-1. NU opened up the scoring with a goal from Baldo after finishing on a pass from Johnson. Senior Jaylyn Odermann then played some aggressive one-on-one defense to notch a pass to the box, where sophomore Michaela Loebel took advantage for a goal. The Huskers led the match 2-0 at the half.
Despite allowing an opposing goal to open the second half, Nebraska closed the game out in style, as Johnson scored goal three from a penalty kick after being fouled inside the box. Senior Katie Kraeutner hit a left-footer to tally the team's fourth goal, while Odermann added a goal of her own to take capitalize the 5-1 victory.
Next the Huskers will have Monday off before playing the W-League Laval Comets on Tuesday, June 16. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET in Laval, Quebec.

June 12-- NU bounced back from its loss to the reigning Canadian champs and resumed play in Canada on June 12, dominating the Quebec National Training Center 7-1. Though the Huskers let up one goal going into the half, the team scored six of its own to help solidify the win. NU sealed the deal over the Quebec team with a final goal in the second half.
Baldo and Loebel scored a goal each, while standout Johnson blazed the field with the remaining five. Nebraska will have the day off to attend a pair of World Cup matches before returning to action against the University of Montreal on Sunday, June 14 at 11 a.m. ET.

June 10-- The Huskers continued its Canadian tour afer a couple days off on June 10, falling to defending Canadian champions Laval University 2-1. The Huskers fought valiantly in the first half, but trailed the Victors 0-1 going into halftime.
The Huskers opened the second half with style as Odermann sent a long throw to Johnson. Johnson found the top of the box, as sophomore Amanda Hilton took over with a half-volley to bury the ball in the net to equalize the game. As Laval scored its second goal of the game, NU could not capitalize on opportunities and dropped the match 2-1.
The Huskers will have Thursday off before heading to Montreal to play the Quebec National Training Center on Friday, June 12. Game time is set to begin at 3 p.m. ET.

June 7--NU had a quick turn around after its victory against Western University as they took on the University of Ontario Institute of Technology on June 7 in Toronto, Ontario, winning the match 3-0. Junior Courtney Claassen had another exceptional showing, scoring the first goal of the game off of a deflection from a defender in the first half. Kraeutner followed suit with a left-foot shot from outside the box, giving the Huskers a 2-0 lead going into the half.
NU continued to show agression on the field to open the second half, resulting in numerous scoring opportunities. Hanson took advantage and stretched the lead further after notching a ball inside the top-right corner of the net, solidifying the Big Red's 3-0 victory.

June 6-- Nebraska officially opened up its Canadian summer tour on June 6 against Western University in London, Ontario in the first of seven international games. The Huskers made quick work of the Mustangs, defeating the Canadian team 5-0. Junior Caroline Flynn scored the lone goal in the first half following a shot from classmate Jaycie Johnson.
NU came out firing in the second half as Baldo scored her first of two goals off of an assist from Johnson. Johnson then scored a goal of her own shortly afterward with a pass from fellow junior Courtney Claassen. The fourth goal game from Claassen in a 30-yard shot from the right. Baldo sealed the 5-0 victory with her second goal of the game after an aggressive one-on-one play near the post.
