History Repeating Itself?
Nebraska’s senior class knows what it takes to make it to Oklahoma City, as the group helped the Huskers to the 2013 Women’s College World Series. The 2016 Huskers have a similar makeup as the 2013 squad and in some ways, Nebraska’s season is mirroring the 2013 campaign.

- The 2013 Huskers scored 110 runs in their first 21 games, while Nebraska has scored 111 runs in 21 games this season.
- The biggest difference between the teams has been in the circle, as the 2013 team had allowed only 48 runs through 21 games (2.3 runs per game) while this year’s team has surrendered 83 runs (4.3 runs per game).
- On the bright side, Nebraska’s 2016 pitching staff features one of its two primary pitchers from the 2013 squad (Emily Lockman). The Huskers returned every pitcher from the 2015 season and the group has continued to improve since the start of last season.
