Weber Signs with Wrestling Team

Lincoln, Neb. – Nebraska Head Coach Mark Manning announced the signing of Luke Weber to the wrestling team on Monday.

"We're extremely excited to have Luke become part of our program,” Manning said. “Luke's been a multiple-time state champion and has won numerous national events. He is also a great student, so we feel Luke will not only be a great fit for our program, but will be a great asset to the University of Nebraska."

Weber comes to Nebraska from Forsyth High School in Montana, where he captured four state titles and set the state record for wins and pins. Weber recently won the NHSCA Senior Nationals 145-pound title in early April in Virginia Beach, Va. He also captured the Flo Reno Worlds 152-pound crown (18 and under) and was named Outstanding Wrestler of his age group.

An honor roll student, Weber was also a standout running back on the football field for Forsyth. He will begin his wrestling career at Nebraska in 2016-17.
