"The Spangler" Moves to New Venue at CCL

"The Spangler" has changed venues in its 12th year, which is set for Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at the Country Club of Lincoln.

The event, which is a four-person shamble, is a shotgun start at noon that will cost $220 per player. The cost covers golf, cart, range, food and drink. Registration and the opening of the range will be at 10 a.m. The 19th Hole Celebration is slated for 5 p.m. For more information, please contact Rich Spangler at rlspangler3@gmail.com.

"The Spangler" is a special event benefiting the Dick Spangler Scholarship Fund. The Dick Spangler Scholarship, honoring Nebraska coach Bill Spangler's late father, Dick, is awarded annually to a Nebraska golfer who made significant contributions to the men's golf program through his attitude, effort and team spirit. The 2016-17 recipient is Justin Jennings.
