Hunter Named B1G Co-Setter of the Week

Nebraska junior setter Kelly Hunter was named the Big Ten Co-Setter of the Week on Monday after leading the top-ranked Huskers to a pair of top-10 wins over the weekend.

Hunter coordinated the Husker attack with 12.43 assists per set in wins over No. 2 Texas and No. 10 Florida. She nearly had a triple-double in the season opener against Florida, posting 47 assists, 13 digs and seven kills. She followed with 40 assists, a team-high four blocks and three kills in a sweep of the Longhorns. The Papillion-La Vista South grad led the Huskers to a .349 hitting percentage for the weekend. 

The honor makers Hunter's third career selection as Big Ten Setter of the Week. Wisconsin's Lauren Carlini shared the honor with Hunter. 

The Huskers host Iowa State on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Nebraska Invitational. NU also will face Oregon State on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
