Red/White Scrimmage on Aug. 20 Moved to 6 p.m.

The start time for the Nebraska Volleyball Red/White Scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 20 has been moved to 6 p.m.

The match was originally scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., but was moved up one hour to not conflict with the Olympic women's volleyball gold medal match at 8:15 p.m. (CT).

The U.S. women's national team has three former Huskers playing in Rio - Kayla Banwarth, Jordan Larson and Kelsey Robinson - and the world-No. 1 Americans are seeking their first ever Olympic gold medal after finishing runner-up to Brazil in 2008 and 2012. The Red/White Scrimmage will be at 6 p.m., regardless of whether or not the United States is in the final.

After the Red/White Scrimmage ends, the gold medal match will be shown on the center-hung video board at the Devaney Center should the United States reach the final. Fans will be welcome to stay and watch. The NCAA Championship banner will be unveiled that night as well.

Tickets are still available to the Red/White Scrimmage. They can be purchased online here or by calling (800)-8-BIGRED.
