Nebraska volleyball is featured in the new book, ‘NCAA Volleyball History—Coaches, Players, Personalities & Teams’ that is available on Amazon/Kindle.
The book has feature stories on both Terry Pettit about the first Nebraska NCAA title team in 1995 and John Cook about the other three titles in 2001, 2006 and 2015. There is even a feature on Nebraska ‘superfan’ Rich Kern.
The undefeated Nebraska team from 2000 was selected by a group of former and current coaches, players and media as the No. 2 team of the pre-rally scoring era. The 2006 Nebraska NCAA title team was the No. 5 overall team of the rally scoring era.
Making the NCAA History Book All-Decade Teams were Karen Dahlgren from the 1980s, Allison Weston from the 1990s, and Greichaly Cepero and Sarah Pavan from the 2000s. Cook was runner-up to Russ Rose as the top voted coach of the rally scoring era from 2001 to 2015.
The NCAA Volleyball History book has background about every men’s and women’s NCAA Division I championship from 1970-2016, plus information on NCAA Division II and III championships and the start of the NCAA Women’s Beach championships in 2016.
