Nebraska setter Kelly Hunter received her second Big Ten Setter of the Week honor this season, the conference office announced Monday.
The junior captain led the unbeaten and top-ranked Huskers to a pair of top-25 road wins at Michigan and Michigan State over the weekend.
Hunter tallied a season-best 53 assists with 10 digs, six blocks and two aces in the 3-2 comeback win at No. 20 Michigan State on Saturday. The night before, she posted 32 assists, 10 digs, four kills and four blocks in a sweep at No. 22 Michigan.
Hunter averaged 10.62 assists per set on the weekend, and she leads the Big Red with four double-doubles this season. This is her fourth career Big Ten weekly honor.
The Huskers travel to face No. 24 Illinois on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The match will air on BTN and be carried by the Husker Sports Network.
