The No. 7 Nebraska wrestling team will host three teams at NU Coliseum on Saturday, Dec. 3, starting at 10 a.m. (CT). The Huskers face Big Ten foe Michigan State at 10 a.m., before their matches against Drexel and No. 25 Princeton. A second mat will feature the other two teams at each time.

The second set of duals will begin 10 minutes after the conclusion of the first set of duals. The third set of duals will begin 10 minutes after the conclusion of the second set of duals. Drexel battles Princeton first, Princeton faces Michigan State second and Drexel and Michigan State square off third.

Last Time Out: The Huskers opened their dual season with wins over West Virginia (Nov. 18) and Wyoming (Nov. 20). NU downed the Mountaineers, 42-6, at home before defeating the Cowboys on the road, 33-8.

Up Next: The Huskers journey to North Carolina, Dec. 9-10, for two duals. On Friday, Dec. 9, NU grapples against NC State. On Saturday, Dec. 10, the Huskers face North Carolina.

Offseason Notes

• Former Husker James Green (70 kg/154 pounds) qualified for the U.S. Men’s Freestyle World Team in the Non-Olympic Weight World Championships with his two wins over Jordan Oliver on Nov. 11. The World Championships are set for Dec. 10-11 in Budapest, Hungary.
• Jordan Burroughs (74 kg/163 pounds) went 1-2 in his second appearance in the Men’s Freestyle Wrestling Competition at the Olympic Games on Aug. 19. Mark Manning served as a U.S. Freestyle Olympic Coach, and as a personal coach to Burroughs during the Rio Games.
• Tim Lambert (57 kg) and Colton McCrystal (65 kg) each finished 7th at University Freestyle Nationals in Akron, Ohio on June 5.
• Beau Breske (1st at 79 kg), Patrick Grayson (2nd at 120 kg) and Kris Williams (6th at 55 kg) each placed at the UWW Junior Freestyle Nationals on April 30 in Las Vegas, Nev.
• Head Coach Mark Manning earned Terry McCann Freestyle Coach-of-the-Year honors for the second time on April 17.

2015-16 Season in Review

• Nebraska finished 8th at the NCAA Championships, marking the best team finish since 2009 (4th), and the 20th top-10 NCAA team finish in program history.
• TJ Dudley (184) became the 23rd NCAA finalist in program history.
• TJ Dudley (2nd at 184), Eric Montoya (5th at 133) and Austin Wilson (7th at 165) each earned All-America honors, pushing Nebraska’s program total to 101.
• Anthony Abidin (141), Jake Sueflohn (149), Tyler Berger (157) and Aaron Studebaker (197) each made it to the Round of 12 (one win shy of All-America honors).
• Nebraska was the only team to have all 10 wrestlers score points at the NCAA Championships. Each of them won at least two matches.
• All 10 Husker starters qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time since 1995. This was the fourth time NU had accomplished the feat since 1980 (also in 1983, 1993 and 1995).
• Nebraska was one of three teams to qualify all 10 wrestlers for the national tournament, along with Oklahoma State and Rutgers.
• Nebraska finished 4th at the Big Ten Championships, marking its best finish as a member of the Big Ten since joining the conference in 2011.
• TJ Dudley (184) led the Huskers at the Big Ten Championships with a runner-up finish.
• Nebraska went 11-6 in duals, with a 5-4 record in Big Ten competition
• Nebraska finished the season ranked 12th in the USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll
• Set the school record for season attendance at home with 13,248 fans (seven duals)
