Ten Huskers Earn Academic All-Big Ten

The Big Ten Conference announced its fall Academic All-Big Ten honorees on Wednesday afternoon, including 10 members of the Nebraska volleyball program.

Seniors Kadie Rolfzen (advertising & public relations), Amber Rolfzen (business administration) and Justine Wong-Orantes (child, youth & family studies) were selected for the third time in their careers, along with junior Kelly Hunter (marketing).

Annika Albrecht (family & consumer science education), Olivia Boender (child, youth & family studies) and Sydney Townsend (biochemistry) earned the award for the second time.

Mikaela Foecke (animal science), Briana Holman (criminology & criminal Justice) and Brooke Smith (dietetics) received the honor in their first year of eligibility for the award. 

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
