Kiev, Ukraine - Former Husker James Green captured the 70 kg freestyle gold medal in the 2017 Outstanding Ukrainian Wrestlers and Coaches Memorial over the weekend.
Green defeated Rashytkhanau Surho (Belarus), Nurykau Azamat (Belarus) and Rashidi Hamed (Iran) en route to the title. Green, a four-time All-American at Nebraska, was one of 11 American wrestlers to make the trip to Ukraine.
