Lincoln, Neb. --- Head Coach Chuck Chmelka announced the addition of five gymnasts to the Nebraska men’s gymnastics team on Thursday. Nikita Bolotsky (Derry, N.H.), Dillan King (Eagle Mountain, Utah), Evan Kriley (Clearwater, Fla.), Noah Urwiler (Lincoln, Neb.) and Dylan LeClair (Townsend, Mass.) will join the Huskers in 2019.
“All five guys are great students and want to excel in the classroom as well as in the gym,” Chmelka said.
Nikita Bolotsky (Derry, N.H./Olympic Training Center)
Nikita Bolotsky competes for Olympic Training Center in Hudson, N.H. Bolotsky competed in the 2017 P&G Championships, placing fourth on pommel horse. He also finished in the top 15 in the all-around. In addition, Bolotsky is a three-time Junior Olympic National Champion. Nikita was born on May 5, 2000, and attends high school at the Virtual Learning Academy in Exeter, N.H.
Chmelka on Nikita: “Nikita is a solid all-arounder who has beautiful execution and will help us on all six events immediately.”
Dillan King (Eagle Mountain, Utah/USA Gym World)
Dillan King competes for USA Gym World Utah in Woods Cross, Utah. King is a 2015 Junior Olympic National Champion on high bar.
Dillan was born on Sept. 3, 1999, and attends high school at Westlake in Saratoga Springs, Utah. He is the son of Jeramy and Amy King, and says without them, none of this would have been possible. Besides gymnastics, Dillan enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, hammocking and snowboarding.
Chmelka on King: “Dillan is also a solid all-arounder but excels on vault, parallel bars and high bar. He will score points for the team on those three events immediately.”
Evan Kriley (Tampa, Fla./LaFleur's Training Center)
Evan Kriley competes for LaFleur’s Training Center in Tampa, Fla. Kriley competed in the 2017 P&G Championships, where he placed sixth in the all-around. He also placed sixth on rings and third on pommel horse at Nationals. Evan attends high school at Florida Virtual School in Orlando, Fla.
Chmelka on Kriley: “Evan is also a solid all-arounder who does not have a weak event and could help immediately in all six events.”
Dylan LeClair (Townsend, Mass./Brestyan's Gymnastics Academy)
Dylan LeClair competes for Brestyan’s Gymnastics Academy in Burlington, Mass. Dylan was a medalist on parallel bars at the 2017 National Championships and a medalist on high bar at the 2017 Ricky Deci National Invitational. He is also a current Region Six Elite Team member. Dylan attends high school at North Middlesex Regional in Townsend, Mass.
Chmelka on LeClair: “Dylan competes on all six events and he excels on the Pommel Horse and Rings and will help immediately on those events.”
Noah Urwiler (Lincoln, Neb./Nebraska School of Gymnastics)
Walk-on Noah Urwiler competes for Nebraska School of Gymnastics in Lincoln, Neb. Noah attends high school at Lincoln Southwest. He received academic all-America honors every year Nationals, and holds an above 4.0 GPA.
Noah is the son of John Urwiler and Lori Stratman, and has one sister named Haley.
