Seven Huskers Earn Academic All-Big Ten Honors

The Big Ten Conference announced its fall Academic All-Big Ten honorees on Wednesday afternoon, including seven members of the Nebraska volleyball program.

All five Husker seniors were honored. Seniors Annika Albrecht (child, youth and family studies), Allie Havers (masters, journalism and mass communications), Briana Holman (criminology and criminal justice), Kelly Hunter (masters, business) and Sydney Townsend (biochemistry) all earned recognition.

Mikaela Foecke (animal science) and Kenzie Maloney (communication studies) also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, as did former Husker Olivia Boender (child, youth and family studies).

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
