Huskers Set for Central Missouri Women's Invitational

The top ranked Nebraska Bowling team heads to Fulton Bowling Center in Fulton, Missouri this weekend to compete in the Central Missouri Women’s Invitational. The tournament is hosted by No. 15 Central Missouri, and will be contested Friday and Saturday.

 

A total of six teams will be competing at Fulton Bowling Center. The teams joining the Huskers include hosts Central Missouri, Drury, Alabama A&M, Elmhurst and Lincoln (Mo.).

 

Competition begins Saturday morning at noon (CT) with five sets of five-game Baker matches. Sunday’s action will get started at 8:45 a.m. with five traditional team matches. Total pinfall from the two days of competition will determine the tournament champion.

 

Central Missouri Women’s Invitational Notes 

The Huskers have won the past four editions of the Central Missouri Invitational. Kelly Belzeski led the Huskers in the individual standings last season, as she won the first tournament title of her career with an average of 226.6. Fellow Huskers Julia Bond and Meghan Straub finished in second and third place, respectively.
