The Nebraska beach volleyball team swept Missouri Baptist, 5-0, at the Hawks Championship Center beach volleyball court on Wednesday. Nebraska improved to 3-4, while Missouri Baptist dropped to 3-2.
The Huskers' No. 1 pair, Kelly Hunter and Lauren Stivrins, swept Sarah Bolton and Marion Couraud 21-15, 21-14 to begin the day. Allie Havers and Jasmine Schmidt earned a 21-18, 21-9 win over Sarah Wilson and Kamden Maas at No. 5, and Chesney McClellan and Hayley Densberger decisively beat Sam Kurm and Georgia Park at No. 4, 21-11, 21-9.
At No. 3, Jazz Sweet and Sami Slaughter posted a 21-15, 21-18 win over Rachel Luebbers and Maggie Sorensen. The last official match went the Huskers' way as well, as Annika Albrecht and Kenzie Maloney defeated Mallory Moran and Maas, 21-8, 21-7.
