Lincoln, Neb. – Interim Head Coach Heather Brink is excited to announce the signing of two future Nebraska gymnasts to the 2019 women’s gymnastics signing class.
Kylie Piringer (Erya Ramsey, N.J.) and Kathryn Thaler (Katy, Texas) have signed their letters of intent and will join the roster for Nebraska women’s gymnastics’ 2020 season.
Piringer is a level 10 gymnast training at Eastern National Academy of Gymnastics (ENA Paramus) in Paramus, N.J under coach Craig Zappa. She Finished seventh in the all-around, eighth on beam at Junior Olympic Nationals and is a 3-time Regional Champion
Thaler is a level 10 gymnast currently training at Stars Gymnastics in Houston, Texas. In 2018 she placed first on uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Texas State Championships. She placed in the top 15 at the Junior Olympic Nationals as well.
“We are excited to welcome both Kylie and Kathryn to the Husker family,” Brink said. “I fully believe they have the talent and ability to make an impact on multiple events for us. I look forward to sharing this journey with them and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.”
The women’s gymnastics team will host their annual Intrasquad meet on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. CT in Mabel Lee Hall, and season tickets are currently on sale on Huskers.com. The Huskers will open the 2019 season on Jan. 4 on the road against defending National Champion UCLA.
