Nebraska All-American Abigail Knapton captured an individual title on the platform and a runner-up finish in the three-meter event at the prestigious CAMO International Diving Invitational in Montreal, Quebec, Canada over the weekend.
In the finals of the platform competition on Saturday, Knapton recorded a winning score of 337.05. The junior from Omaha added a second-place finish with a 267.60 in the finals of the three-meter competition on Sunday.
Jessica Warak, a freshman from Bellevue, Neb., added a seventh-place showing (217.10) on Saturday in the platform, while also finishing 17th (204.95) in Sunday's three-meter event. Warak and sophomore Grace Tiernon (Fishers, Ind.), who finished 11th (181.90), joined Knapton in the finals on the platform.
Husker freshman Sara Troyer (Goshen, Ind.) also advanced to the three-meter final on Sunday, where she finished 12th with 208.15 points.
Freshman Hallie Roman (Port Huron, Mich.) also represented the Huskers well in Canada. Roman finished 19th on the one-meter board (262.95) on Saturday, before adding a 21st-place showing with a 173.05 on three-meter Sunday.
Nebraska's swimmers and divers will be back in action as a team when they travel to Omaha to battle the Mavericks on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m.
