Freshman Peyton Glatter hit her first-career home run against Idaho State on Friday.

Madi Unzicker had a solo home run against the Bengals, extending her on-base streak to 15. 

Lindsey Walljasper pitched 7.0 innings, marking the longest outing of her career.

Fort Collins, Colo. --- The Nebraska softball team shutout Idaho State, 5-0, on Friday in its first game of the day as part of the Colorado State Classic.

Lindsey Walljasper went a career-long 7.0 innings and improved to 4-1 on the season. She gave up four hits and had three walks. She recorded eight strikeouts, just one short of her career best. 

Madi Unzicker led the Husker offense going 2-for-3, with one home run. She also scored two runs. Peyton Glatter also had a home run against the Benglas. It was the first of her career. Bree Boruff also had two hits, going 2-for-3 on the day. Rylie Unzicker, Tristen Edwards, Courtney Wallace, Lindsey Walljasper and Bri Cassidy also had one hit. 

In the bottom of the first, Edwards hit a leadoff double, but she was left stranded there as the Bengals retired the next three batters. 

Nebraska took a 2-0 lead in the second after Walljasper doubled and Glatter hit a home run.

In the fourth, Madi Unzicker hit a solo shot to give Nebraska a 3-0 lead. 

ISU threatened in the sixth, putting two runners in scoring position with two outs. A one-out walk and a single put two runners on and a sac bunt moved them both over, but Walljasper got a big strikeout to keep the shutout alive. 

Wallace hit a leadoff single in the sixth and Madi Unzicker singled through the left side. Wallace used her speed to reach third, allowing Madi Unzicker to get to second on the throw from the outfield. Cassidy reached on an error, while both runners scored. 

The Huskers play Colorado State this afternoon at 4:45 p.m. CT. The team's will resume last night's paused game and will play a second game after if time allows.
