The Nebraska women's basketball team will open the 2019-20 exhibition season by taking on Rogers State on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Tip-off against the Hillcats is set for 4 p.m.
The season tip-off for the Huskers had previously been listed as "TBA" on all schedules. With the announcement of the Nebraska football kick-off time at Purdue on Nov. 2 as 11 a.m., the women's basketball team was able to set the time for its lone exhibition game of the season.
Rogers State provided current Nebraska Coach Amy Williams with her first head coaching job in 2007-08, when the Hillcats made the move from a junior college program to an NAIA school. Williams spent five seasons with the Hillcats, culminating with three consecutive 20-win seasons. In her final season at the Claremore, Okla., school, Williams led Rogers State to the 2012 NAIA Elite Eight.
This season, Rogers State will compete at the NCAA Division II level as a member of the MIAA Conference. Head Coach Kyle Bent will be assisted by former Husker guard Jasmine Cincore, who helped Williams' second Nebraska team to the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
