Senior Raquel Orozco led the Huskers in the individual standings, taking 11th place with her average of 196.00. Close behind her, fellow senior Allison Morris finished with an average of 195.8, a performance good for 12th place.

"I could not be happier for this group of young ladies for the victory this weekend," said Head Coach Paul Klempa. "They have worked very hard so far this fall and to start the season with a win is gratifying. We know there is much work to be done to improve and reach the potential this team has, but a good start makes it easier to go back to work and strive for this improvement. I am proud of their progress and with the resilience they showed this weekend."

The Huskers will return to the lanes next Friday through Sunday at the Track Kat Klash in Houston, Texas.
