Soccer Earns Academic Award for 12th Straight Year

The United Soccer Coaches have announced their academic awards for the 2019-20 academic year and for the 12th year in a row the Nebraska soccer program earned the academic team award. Head coach John Walker's 2019 Huskers produced a 3.47 GPA.

The Nebraska soccer team has earned the award 12-straight years dating back to 2009. The program has been honored 13 times overall, as it also won the award in 2002.
 
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
 
The 2020 fall soccer season has been postponed due to COVID-19. The NCAA recently released information for a 2021 spring season, with competition starting on Feb. 3 at the earliest.
