Lincoln - University of Nebraska guard Dalano Banton was featured as one of 20 under-the-radar transfers highlighted by national college basketball analyst Jon Rothstein.
Banton is eligible at Nebraska after transferring from Western Kentucky and sitting out the 2019-20 season. A former top-100 recruit coming out of high school, he played in 31 games at Western Kentucky, including 12 starts, as a freshman in 2018-19. Banton averaged 3.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game that season, including a near triple-double against No. 15 Wisconsin (13 rebounds, 10 assists, eight points).
"A 6-8 point guard with an incredible basketball IQ, Banton oozes versatility each and every time he takes the floor. After showing glimpses of promise during his one year at Western Kentucky, Banton should thrive in Fred Hoiberg's five-out offense," Rothstein said.
