Twelve Nebraska softball players were recognized by the Big Ten Conference on Thursday, May 27, when the conference announced its Spring 2021 Academic All-Big Ten teams.
The Husker selections included eight repeat honorees and four first-time selections. With the announcement of the 2021 team, 10 Huskers have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten every eligible season of their careers.
Tristen Edwards was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team for the fourth time in her career, while Olivia Ferrell, Ally Riley, Rylie Unzicker and Sarah Yocom were each recognized for the third time in their careers. Samantha Owen, Anni Raley and Karlee Seevers each earned their second career appointment to the Academic All-Big Ten team, while Brooke Andrews, Payton Huscroft, Courtney Wallace and Cam Ybarra were first-time honorees.
