The Nebraska soccer team (4-4-0) returns home and opens Big Ten play this weekend when it hosts Purdue (5-1-2) on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 1:05 p.m.

The game against the Boilermakers will be streamed on Big Ten Network+ (subscription required) and broadcast on KRNU. Last Time Out
The Huskers traveled to Tucson where they battled Arizona State to a 1-0 loss before falling to Arizona to close out the weekend, 3-2.
Next Up
The Huskers are back on the road next week as they travel East to face Maryland on Sept. 23 at 1:05 p.m. CT and Rutgers on Sept. 26 at noon CT.
Kicking Off
• The Nebraska soccer program begins its 11th season as a member of the Big Ten Conference this weekend. Nebraska won the regular-season and tournament titles in 2013, as one of four appearances in the Big Ten Tournament since 2011.
• The Huskers continue to rack up shots and shots on goal. Nebraska has outshot its opponents 134/83 and 72/41 in shots on goal. Last weekend against the Wildcats, the Huskers took the most shots on the season with 24.
• Sophomores Eleanor Dale and Reagan Raabe still lead the team in offensive production. Raabe has five goals and one assist on the year while Dale has four goals and two assists.
• Two-time Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week Sami Hauk returned to action against Arizona after her sidelining injury. Hauk recorded two saves in 90 minutes of play.
• Freshman Abbey Schwarz leads the team with four assists and two game-winning assists.
• Senior Grace Brown has been a constant on defense as she has recorded 711 minutes of play in eight games and five shots with three shots on goal.
Scouting the Purdue Boilermakers
• Purdue is 5-1-2 this season and won last weekend's matchup against Colorado, 3-1.
• Last season, the Boilermakers went 4-6-2 overall and 4-5-2 in conference play, finishing tenth in the Big Ten standings.
• Nebraska leads the all-time series against Purdue, 8-4-0, dating back to the first meeting between the schools in 2000. Last season, NU posted a 2-1 win in Lincoln, Neb.
• Head Coach Drew Roff is in his seventh year at Purdue with a 41-47-13 record. Prior to Purdue, Roff spent eight seasons at Illinois State where he guided the Redbirds to six Missouri Valley Conference regular-season titles.

Huskers Celebrating 28th Season in 2021
• The Nebraska soccer program is in its 28th year since the inaugural campaign in 1994. Head Coach John Walker has been at the helm of the team since its inception, guiding the Huskers to more than 330 all-time victories.
• Nebraska has made 12 NCAA Tournament appearances in its first 27 seasons, including two trips to the Elite Eight and eight Sweet 16 berths.
• The Huskers have captured four conference regular-season titles and six conference tournament crowns. As a member of the Big 12, NU won the regular-season championship in 1996, 1999 and 2000, while winning the tournament title in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002. Nebraska joined the Big Ten in 2011 and two seasons later, swept the regular-season and tournament crowns.
