Huskers Set for Fall Schedule

The Nebraska softball team begins its fall season this weekend, which will include one scrimmage and six home games. 

The Huskers have their final intrasquad scrimmage Thursday, Sept. 23, at Bowlin Stadium with first pitch set for 3:45 p.m. The Scarlet and Cream scrimmage is open to the public and admission is free. 

NU will kick off the fall season at Bowlin Stadium with a double-header against UNO on Sunday, Sept. 26, and a double-header against Missouri on Sunday, Oct.3, both starting at Noon. 

Saturday, Oct. 16, the Huskers will take on South Dakota for their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game. The game is slated for 10 a.m.

NU will conclude its fall season with a double-header against Colorado State on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. 

All fall games will take place at Bowlin Stadium and are free admission. Concessions will be open for all games, except the Scarlet and Cream scrimmage. 

Nebraska returns 14 players from last season, including seniors Peyton Glatter, Courtney Wallace, Karlee Seevers, Cam Ybarra, Anni Raley, Olivia Ferrell, junior Brooke Andrews, and sophomores Billie Andrews, Sydney Gray, Abbie Squier, Camyl Armendariz, Caitlynn Neal, Abbey Newlun and Kaylin Kinney. 

NU welcomes four newcomers in Oregon transfer Mya Felder and freshmen McKinley Malecha, Ava Bredwell and Kendall Mangel.
