Troyer Dives to Third in Three-Meter

Senior All-American Sara Troyer concluded the second day of competition at the Bruin Diving Invitational with a third-place finish in the three-meter after scoring a 656.20 on the day. The Indiana-native notched another top-five finish on Friday in the one-meter with a 536.75.

"Sara put together two really steady lists in some not so great conditions outside today," Nebraska head diving coach Landon Marzullo said. "Ending up third behind two great divers is huge. It was also great practice for zones as scores in the finals were carried over from prelims."

Sophomore Reagan Hinze made her second-straight finals appearance for the Huskers on Saturday in Los Angeles, placing 18th with a 498.60.

"I was really proud of Reagan's performance in finals," Marzullo said. "She made some great corrections and looked much more relaxed."

Troyer finished behind the Stanford duo of Carolina Sculti (747.95) and Maria Papworth Burrel (710.70).

Senior Hallie Roman will join Hinze (Conroe, Texas) on the boards Sunday for platform prelims at 12:30 p.m. (CT), with finals to follow at 3 p.m. (CT).

Live scoring will be available on DiveMeets.com.
